Work day!

Goodness haven't had such a manual labour day in a long time.....
We have some special guests coming to Charterhouse so a real brush up ensued.
I volunteered to help in the garden and was given the task of edge trimming.
Here's the proof:
We all did a splendid job and after lunch and some paper work I found myself assembling lanterns to illuminate the gardens and pathways.
I'm such a perfectionist I spent ages realigning and spacing these lights.
Tomorrow is another exciting day as Kat is having a tea party to market her art works and she is very talented....see?
So the last thing I wanted to say is....and I'm not sure what I really think about this news bringing me such joy...the seeds that I brought back from Capri about 10 years ago, have flowered again!
I started growing them in the huge garden at Greville Road, St John's Wood.
I then grew the seeds, which appear in dry pods in the winter, in some troughs on the balcony in Florin Court.  Last year I didn't organise myself properly and this year I only remembered about a month ago.
I planted the last few remaining seeds in a window box and.......
Hurray!!!!!!!
