Chalk and Cheese

1st off......here's a photo I forgot to post last night:
Yep, there is Claire who invited me to share her comps for "The Light Princess".
As I expressed last night I thought it was the worst show I've ever seen! (Come on AR, get off the fence!)
Well today was the Cheese; yes please!
Sis and I went to the beautiful St Luke's for an open rehearsal of the LSO.
St Luke's was a ruin of a church when I first moved to Clerkenwell.
One of my Brothers explained this was not due to war damaged, but London clay; subsidence.
It has been refurbished to a world class standard as a home away from home for the LSO.
Today's music was sublime!
"The Firebird", "Night on Bare Mountain", and the Deaf Guy's Ode to Joy......
Made me feel privileged to be there and experience such a high level of human enterprise.
Was so interesting to have the conductor, Daniel Harding, stop, give the players an instruction on detail, finesse, interpretation and then listen to the difference.
It was such a contrast to the feelings I had to the 2nd rate effort of last night.
You may think me over critical, but today's experience was free as was last night's, but the majority of the audience at the National Theatre were paying £50 plus.
Anyway....jam packed days ahead.
