The Incredibly Heavy Princess

Well let's see.
High point of the day: I've been appointed to join the development group here.
We are beginning a wonderful project to bring the joys of our wonderful community to a larger audience.
It is a careful process because you pull up some carpet and low and hold be, you find medieval tiles.
Watch this space.....
And the low point?
My friend Claire, who beacause she works at the National, got some comps and asked me to come along.
We saw The Light Princess.
I found myself looking around for Charles Foster Kane.
This has the be the worst show I've ever seen!
The plot is threadbare and inconsistent, the music instantly unforgettable and repetitive, the staging was engaging for about 10 minutes and then by the second half, it induced laughter when I think the producers expected tears.
I'm afraid this was self indulgent and the creative powers at the National should have known better.
Otherwise it was ok.
3 hours I'll never get back again....
